Next year will be great. We expect drupa 2016. And we will celebrate our 20st anniversary! Believe it or not: The Digital Printing Forum as the very first business community was founded in March 1996 to push the success by innovative print communications.
A milestone happened at drupa 2004: We published a visionary report on digital printing, named “Printing without limits” (bi-lingual german/english). And the content is after almost 12 years still valid. — One exception: The forecast of Cap Ventures (nowadays: InfoTrends) was wrong! They expected that digital print will substitute more than one third of offset prints. Interesting to see that market researchers deliver what their customers from the technology supplier side expect. Even if its wrong. Haha!
Enjoy reading. And get back to me if you like to get the report as a PDF file.
Outlook: We will inform you step by step about our plans and actions in 2016. You are welcome if you want to join our Digital Printing Forum group via XING to get in touch with around 1’200 leading experts in the german speaking countries.
